Good Music: George Ezra
From his messy blond crop and array of vintage jumpers, you'd expect George Ezra to sing with a pleasant indie voice that does the festival circuit and quietly slips away when summer comes to an end. Oh ye (/me) of little faith. Ezra (originally Barnett) has a rock edge accompanying a soulful sound from deep within; this one's going to see the autumn leaves.

New music: Fyfe
Pop musician Paul Dixon is evolving into a forward-thinking artist inspired by electronics. One to watch and a great addition to your summer soundtrack.

Liked the sound of Bulgaria's Meadows in the Mountains festival from the Fresh Look preview? Want to get a taste of the action before you commit/smell that sweet pastoral air? Then head to Meadows in the Metropolis on Saturday 12 April and breathe in the Big Smoke instead. It's the festival's pre-party, taking place just beside London Fields.
From 7pm you can experience an array of Meadows-mentality DJs and live music, from Rodina and the Wolf to Mohson Stars, in a hedonistic atmosphere bringing you a taste of what's in store for the summer.
For £8 (tickets here), escape the day's drudgery and have a springtime session.

Festival Preview: Meadows in the Mountains
The Rhodope Mountains of Bulgaria. What could possibly make such an idyllic location even better? Perhaps a soundtrack of eclectic funk, electronica and folk, all thanks to the brothers inspired by explosively creative festival Secret Garden Party.
